How to report on all items purchase by a customer
I've recently joined the Dynamics community so hello everyone!
My company uses Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU10.
I'd like to produce a report that will show me all the items that one of our key customers have purchased since we began doing business with them up until now.
The intention of producing this report is to identify the items they buy the most of i.e. the most popular items
I am new to reporting in AX so don't know where to start.

Hi all,
I am new to D365. I need to know. If I have a form designed already in D365. Now I need to change the form.
How can I do that.? Do I want to go Extension / Overlayering.
Similarly for table objects , class objects If I want to over ride a method. How can I do that?
When I need to use Extension and how to do achieve ? take example... I have created a new table. and I also I need to do custamization on existing tables like custtable / invent table.
Give me an example, or kindly tell me a class done examples in D365. so that I can refer that object.

Dynamics AX R2: Reduce size of Non Prod environments
Hi all,
I'm the DBA of a AX2012 R2 environment and I'm looking for a way to reduce the size of our non prod AX databases.
When I administered the databases of another ERP system I could use SSIS to transfer a subset of the data from production to a newly created database and reduce the size that way. From what I can see, this is impossible with AX databases due to the record identifiers on each table. So what are my options?
Is it possible to use DIXF to do this? Or are there other tools out there? Our current prod environment is 650 Gb and we have 7 non prod / testing environments.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Import BOM journal using DIXF
Hi,
I am trying to import BOM journal from csv file using DIXF. Totally 3 records are there in csv file, 1 is main Item and others are line items(BOM). I set JournalId as Auto and its query criteria is journal type field and Line num as auto. After mapping, I am able to see records in preview source file.
The problem is after inserting data in staging table, its is showing Unbalanced tts commit error. I am able to see data in staging form but when I reset that tts error the generated journal id value is back to '1'. So, I cannot move to copy to target table. Kindly help on this.

Data Security on D365 for FO
Hi All,
Please help me, I need to setup permission for users with detail bellows:
User A: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group A
User B: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group B
User C: can see Sales Order belong to Customer Group C
In AX 2012, i can use Record Level Security, but in D365 for FO, i can not find Record Level Security.
Are there any ideas, please share with me, thank advance!

Cost Posting to Balance Account for FP Project
Hi All,
I have created a project group with journalizing all costs to Balance account, but on posting expense transaction it got posted to P&L account, then I made a change to line property and selected a check box - Capitlize Cost. On posting a new transaction with this line property the expense got posted to WIP-account.
Just wanted to confirm that is there any correlation exist between the two - Project group and line property ?
Can't we post a transaction to Balance sheet account without using Capitalize cost option in line property ?

Have created the Exchange Rate for EUR and US
Have closed the last fiscal year
Also, have Set the necessary Automatic Accounts for Accounting and Reporting Currency
Have set the Penny differences in GL Parameter to 0.10
Any help ?

Commercial invoice on transfer orders in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Does anyone have a workaround or a suggestion to how I can manage the following:
In same legal entity I have two sites, one in Poland and one in Denmark. The site in Poland creates and sends a transfer order to the site in Denmark. When sending the transfer order across borders, we need to create an commercial invoice for the Polish and Danish customs, regardless there is no sales transaction between the two sites.

Security privilege - Add new financial dimension values
Hi All,
I have a user who currently has the accounting assistant role who we wantrto be able to give them the ability to add new financial dimension Values for a new dimension we have set up.
They have the ability it seems to view this part of the system but the 'NEW' & 'DELETE' buttons are missing so I'm assuming they only have a view and not maintain privilege?
I'm pretty new to the security roles so need some help please identifying what duty/privilege I need to give them to be able to allow them access to these buttons?
Any help will be much appreciated!

Error during Uploading files
Hi,
I'm trying to configure AX 2012 R2 so that attached files can be saved to our SharePoint Site Library.
I try to attach a file (assigning it the Document Type configured for SharePoint) it throws the very generic Exception:
"Error uploading file"
I followed the instructions as shown below

Error during adding a reference to a dll to a project
Hi Folks,
When I run a class in D365FO I get an error message saying.
"System.IO.FileLoadException: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'WebDriver, Version=2.42.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=1c2bd1631853048f' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)."
I have a reference "WebDriver.dll" added to my project. The version was 3.8.0.0. I changed the version of this reference from 3.8.0.0 to 2.42.0 through "VS -> Tools -> Nuget Package Manager -> Manage NuGet Packages for Solution" so that the versions matched.
Do I have to change something else to solve the problem?
