I would like to know if anyone tried to install the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Connector for Mobile Applications on an AX 2012 R2 CU7 environment.
The documentation is a bit confusing as it mentioned the Microsoft Dynamics AX Connector for Mobile Applications is not supporting some listed hotfixes, then you should use the AX 2012 R3 connector.

The apps described above communicate with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 by using the Windows Azure Service bus and Mobile applications connector (see below).

This connector does not support the hotfixes listed in the section below. Please use the R3 Connector.
Download (and install) the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Connector for Mobile Applications
This connector will be needed to use both the hotfixes listed below for Expense updates, and Approval via Email updates.
Hotfixes
This hotfix contains updates to the Windows 8 Expenses apps adding numerous features (custom fields, itemization, attestation, policy justifications, delegates, guest, personal/mandatory fields, and other bug fixes).
This hotfix contains an update to the Approval via Email feature and allows for reports to be attached to emails.
This hotfix contains an update to the Approvals app that allows partners to add custom sections to different approval types.
So would it be supported to install the R3 connector to be used with AX 2012 R2?
